COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATE...

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore, we will not fear!” (Psalm 46)

COVID-19 [Coronavirus] UPDATE

The Parish Planning Council recently approved the resumption of limited worship services at Concordia Lutheran Church beginning on Saturday, July 4.  Two worship services will be offered per weekend, a Traditional service at 9 AM on Saturday and a Contemporary service at 10 AM on Sunday.

The decision to resume worship is in keeping with revised guidance for Houses of Worship released by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on June 4th.  Concordia is implementing all recommended protocols to maintain a safe environment as we begin to gather again for worship.  Attendance will be limited to fifty people at each service and managed through online reservations on a first come, first served basis.  All attendees will need to wear masks in order to enter the church building.

Additional detailed information about how to make a reservation, how to prepare and what to expect when you attend worship has been sent to all member households via email and regular mail.

We are coming together for the mutual edification of our brothers and sisters. We are thankful that we have the technology to keep us connected even when we are apart, yet there is a great blessing when believers can come together in person to worship Jesus.  We are thankful and excited as we begin to re-open. Please be patient as we seek to navigate through these times, and praise the Lord as He continues to work for His glory and for the salvation of all people!

As we reopen, we will continue to record and make weekly sermons and services available online.  Pastor Gregg’s sermons will be available online Sunday morning and services will be available online early in the week following weekend worship. We will also continue to offer our other online opportunities for the forseeable future. Please continue to check back for updates.  Weekly messages will be posted on our YouTube, website, Church Online, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as live Bible studies on Zoom

STAFF & ELDERS

While our staff is here for you should you have any needs, concerns, or prayer request, we also want you to know that you can reach out to any Elder if any needs or concerns arise.  Feel free to contact any of us without hesitation.

PRAYERS

We also encourage you to reach out with any prayer requests you may have.  In an effort to encourage our connectedness – and the church being the church – unless prayers state that they are ONLY for the prayer chain, we will send them out to the entire congregation for their prayers as well.  Please be aware that prayer requests submitted are not edited but sent out exactly as submitted. If you wish requests to be anonymous, please do not include any personal information in the submittal.

Again, please check back regularly for updates.  If you would like to receive our emails, contact us at clcgrace@clcgrace.org.

Remember that our God is sovereign and faithful. There is nothing that is happening or that is going to happen that He is not aware of or in control over. For that we can be grateful, and because of that we don’t have to live in fear.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”  (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

Limited Worship to Resume July 4

AS WE GATHER

Worship is central to the ministry at Concordia. Our Sunday Schedule offers two different worship experiences; with communion served weekly at both services

9:00 Saturday – LITURGICAL WORSHIP

This service uses traditional Lutheran liturgy, supplemented frequently with adult, children’s, or bell choirs.

10:00 Sunday – CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP

This service includes outstanding contemporary Christian music in an informal, “come as you are” setting.
