“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear!” (Psalm 46)
COVID-19 [Coronavirus] UPDATE
On Thursday, Governor Polis conducted another in a series of Clergy Calls to update clergy around Colorado on the status of the COVID-19 outbreak and to discuss updates to official guidelines for houses of worship. As of today, state and local communities continue to operate under the “Safer-At-Home” order and a ban on gatherings greater than 10 is still in place.
However, new official guidelines are expected to be released next week. Once we have had an opportunity to evaluate these new guidelines, we will provide more definitive information regarding potential resumption of worship services at Concordia. Until such time, we will be extending the suspension of all events and activities at Concordia – including worship – beyond the previously communicated May 31 date.
Please rest assured that Concordia has developed a detailed reopening plan, elements of which are currently being implemented and which will be fully executed once restrictions are relaxed and conditions allow. We will continue to abide by local regulations while we prepare supplies and training for the point in time we can safely reopen for worship and other activities.
Please continue to check back for updates. Weekly messages will be posted on our YouTube, website, Church Online, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as live Bible studies on Zoom. In addition, regular emails and communications are being sent out.
STAFF & ELDERS
While our staff is here for you should you have any needs, concerns, or prayer request, we also want you to know that you can reach out to any Elder if any needs or concerns arise. Feel free to contact any of us without hesitation.
We also encourage you to reach out with any prayer requests you may have. In an effort to encourage our connectedness – and the church being the church – unless prayers state that they are ONLY for the prayer chain, we will send them out to the entire congregation for their prayers as well. Please be aware that prayer requests submitted are not edited but sent out exactly as submitted. If you wish requests to be anonymous, please do not include any personal information in the submittal.
Again, please check back regularly for updates. If you would like to receive our emails, contact us at email@example.com.
Remember that our God is sovereign and faithful. There is nothing that is happening or that is going to happen that He is not aware of or in control over. For that we can be grateful, and because of that we don’t have to live in fear.
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
